Hi Lowell,

Well how about that, two quakes in each place. That's weird.

Now, I wonder if any of the stateside locations will have any quakes. I hope so, but not damaging of course.

I doubt that I will ever forget the quake they had up in Challis some years ago where huge boulders rolled down the hills into town. This may occur more often than I know, but of late, I don't think I've ever heard of another place on the planet that has experienced this same problem. Most often its associated with landslides, not earthquakes.

Reminds me of my trip back from Mammoth two summers ago. I asked my friends if there was a road other than the freeway from Reno to get back on the other side of the Sierra's. They said to go through Yosemite as there were no windy roads there. Oh sure. Mind you I'm very afraid of heights. So I'm driving and it looks good at first and then, oh no, I came into this area where there was a huge valley below and this little tiny winding road going around it. I thanked my lucky stars I was on the inside, because there is no railing on the outside and its straight down everywhere. I can recall turning on the air conditioning, even though it was 8AM because my hands were perspireing at such a rate I needed the air to cool them off. (like bowling.) LOL Well, let's say, its a drive I won't soon forget or another one I'll ever drive again unless forced to do so.

Oh, one last thought. I see Etna in Italy has been erupting fiercely this week. Is there any chance that is connected to possibly triggering the EQ in the Aegean Sea earlier this evening? I believe, but am not positive that most of that area is volcanic in nature anyway. What do you think?
