I'm not sure what the source of the problem is either. It may be that new virus
infected NEIC. It seems to be on all USGS sites originating from the Central Region
"cr.usgs.gov". Yesterday it also affected all sites from either "wr.usgs.gov" or
"cr.usgs.gov", but the western region is back on line today, so apparently it is
a fixable problem. It also affects all the local networks when send their data to
the internet through the USGS, which is quite a few.
