Re: Unusual aftershock but not a rare event

Hi Lowell,

When I first looked at the NW Map this morning I saw the small quake out in the water and then noticed the curious pattern of quakes leading in Puget Sound, down through southern WA and then in the southwest in Oregon. It said Mogi Donut all over it.

Since the Olympia event I have taken a keen interest in observing the quake patterns since that time. This though only may be a temporary curiosity, it is indeed a new pattern, in a semi circle vs north/south, some over in eastern WA and the occasional south Oregon quakes.

As I have felt since the onset of the Olympia quake that the Earth in general in that area is unsettled I am watching the quake patterns to gather a better overall observation as to the long range patterns to see what lies ahead. As this was a very deep earthquake there may be hidden clues to the next one. You cannot know until you watch carefully these patterns, either with nearly rare or not rare at all quakes.

Bares watching...Petra
