Moonquakes

I know there have been several papers published on moonquakes - you might
try the annual Conference reports on the moon, or the publication "Icarus"
The only reference I can find right off is:

Shirley, James H., 1985, "Shallow moonquakes and large shallow earthquakes:
a temporal correlation", Earth and Planetary Science Letters, 76, 241-253.

The most accessible report may be:

Nafi, M, Toksoz, Gorns, N.R. Cheng, C. H. 1977. Moonquakes, mechanisms and
relations to tidal stresses, Science, v 196, No, 4293, p 979-981.

Several older reports are:

Chapman. W.B., Middlehurst, B.M. Frisillo, A.L., 1974, "Moonquake predetermination
and tides", Icarus, Vol 21, No. 4, p 427-436.

An abstract was published in EOS in 1970:

Meissner, R, Sutton, G.H, Duennebier, F.K, 1970, Moonquakes, Trans.Am. Geophys.
Union, v 51 No 11, p 770 (Abstract)

Meissner's work observed that moonquakes occur at only a few deep sites and always
occur within 3 days of perigee with the earth.

Chapman correlated moonquakes with the monthly tidal cycle.

Another report which may or may not have anything to do with moonquakes is:

Bagby, J.P., 1973, Further evidence of tidal influence on earthquakes incidence, Moon,
V6, no 3-4., p398-404

But it does give another periodical which would probably have material
on moonquakes in it.

Unfortunately, I have not looked into this in some time, so my references are
fairly old.
