Hi Don,

You know if earthquakes can ever be forecasted like tornado alerts, then maybe I can develop a business called, "Quake Chasers" and take people to possible epicenters. There may be more people who would like to have this experience than we know. I'd love to take Lowell to Parkfield, as he's never seen the Earthquake Capital of the World and hope fervently a quake arrived while we were there. Only being two hundred yards from the faultline in town at least gives one reason to hope even a modest 3.0 might arrive. Those tourists I interviewed after that 4.2 had plenty to say about what the earthquake experience is like in Parkfield. No one would sleep through it I'm sure. Beats getting quake reports from your kids because you slept through it.

So Don, you don't have to sit me down and explain that those desires to feel earthquakes are unnatural. I already know that. You should give your efforts to tornado chasers, those baby's are a lot more hazardous than earthquakes. Besides, I'm never going to learn how my house behaves in an earthquake if I never get to experience one while I'm awake. I've yet to see my special mobile I made sway from a quake. I hope the next one that rolls through that can be felt, you will be here and I can see what you are like when I get an earthquake of my own. Remember, I'm not the only one who slept through the Yountville quake.
