The far-field forecast from Peru did make the following statement regarding
aftershocks in the western U.S. (See post #8118 below)

Some areas of the western U.S. most likely to see increased seismic activity:

" ...Mammoth Lakes*, Central San Andreas,... California (so. of San Jose),
Yellowstone, ...No. Utah "

The swarms in Yellowstone, Mammoth Lakes, Gustine and today's, along with
a strong increase in activity in northern Utah over the past 7 days indicates
this was a pretty good description of areas of seismic enhancement in the past
week.

Whether this was a far-field aftershock from New Britain or not, a strong case
could be made that it might be a far-field aftershock from Peru.
