Re: Spokane Earthquake, Inactive Fault Comes Back To Life???

Hi Don,

To me this is something along the lines one would expect as resulting from the Olympia earthquake. Changes come about sometimes in subtle ways and it reminds us how connected one place is to the next.

In my mind I still have not ruled out Oregon coming up in the near future. While it has already taken longer than I expected, perhaps within a few months to a year, I believe some kind of activity will commence. As to whether it shows up as volcanic or occurs in the plains area in the west, its difficult to know. Eugene I believe was the last place that got hit with a 5 or near five and did considerable damage about 12 or so years ago, so it could be the locale of the next event as well.

Like all earthquake clusters you never know for sure if they are going to bring on the big kahuna or just stay as little clusters. Though this kind of activity I would find terrific to experience if for no other reason but to do my ear tone study, but for the regular folks, yeah, they've got plenty of reason to be a little nervous.

Thanks Don for all the info, its very much appreciated.

Petra
