Let's see, does 4 miles from the epicenter of the Loma Prieta EQ and 8 miles from the San Andreas Fault with the Sergeant and Zayante-Vergalis Faults in between count? Oh, let's not forget the San Gregorio fault that spans the length of Monterey Bay.

I will have my ticket in hand and watch the eclipse from the San Jose airport. After totality, I will enjoy my trip to Buenos Aires.

Hmm. How often do eclipse-related earthquakes occur before totality, or before the umbra phase (if there's a link?
