I don't understand how 16.15S-73.40W (Peru) and 13.257°N, 123.685°E are antipodal. - They are nearly the same degree N/S of equator but only 130(230) degrees apart E/W.

That volcano has been quite active recently and erupting this last week - maybe this just was the nudge it needed to get more explosive.
