EQF, you can't solve all the world's problems all by yourself.

Pick one. Concentrate on it. Become a world renowned expert on it. Solve it.

However, I will say, I think you misunderstand why energy costs so much. It's not a resource problem. It's not a technology problem. It's not an engineering problem. It's not even a political problem. It's a societal problem. Until society at large changes it's attitudes and ways of thinking about energy, no amount of effort in other ways will go anywhere. Heck, 95% of people probably couldn't even tell you what "energy" actually is.

You aren't the only one who has given thought to this.
