If someone wants credit for multiple hits he must predict the number so I can get the odds on it.

Suppose there are 100 three day windows being considered and 50 quakes in that total time.

Offhand you might think the odds on a hit are 50/100 but suppose all 50 are in one window. Then the odds are 1/100.

That's why catalogs are commonly declustered for evaluation purposes. But the Jones method I use does that automatically by counting hit windows instead of quakes.
