"If your answer is “No” then I believe that there is the possibility that you might eventually be directed to do that by any number of entities including one or more government agencies."

Well, I can tell you now (if it isn't obvious already), that the answer will be no. Certainly not a blanket delete. Why?

Considering some of the concerns you've expressed, and I honestly don't know if you truly mean them or are just trying to make waves, but some of them really don't make any sense. Let me address a couple.

That I might sell or otherwise disseminate the archives for some reason - no I won't do that. For what possible gain would I do that? But honestly, I don't know how I can convince you other than a promise. You'd just have to trust me like you have to trust your bank and every company you do business with, and many other organizations that DO have your personal information. You'd have to trust them to not sell or share that information.

But the fact is, those organizations DO sell and share your information, and they know far more about you than I or anyone here ever could. In this instance, I think we would agree that the sharing of such information is of great concern. Personally, I don't like it, and I take what little steps I can to thwart it where possible.

As a relevant tangent, that job I mentioned having dealt with contracts also put me in a position of access to over a thousand people's names, addresses, phone numbers, signatures, and credit card numbers. Do you realize how much trust those people and my employers had to have in me? To get the job I had to go through not only a criminal background check and drug test, but also a psychological screening. And it's not the only job I had to have background checks for. My point is to try to impress upon you my proven trustworthiness.

I may have my flaws, but I am if anything, very principled about right and wrong. So much so that it has at times caused me much grief. Believe me, from experience I have learned that this is not a world where an honest man can succeed very well.

You have also made comments regarding your posts, my possession of them, and matters of national security and similar. If your messages are of such utmost importance to the government, what on earth are you doing posting such information on a publicly accessible forum? Wouldn't the one to be held responsible for that breach of security be YOU? The claim just doesn't even make sense.

My overarching point here is that if there is really and truly a reason that your messages must be deleted (other than you just don't like me), you are going to have to come up with a reasoned and legitimate explanation.

And, if you feel the need to take the matter to "some government agency", THEY are going to need the same or perhaps even higher level of cause for taking action. Further, it is highly likely that such action would only be able to take place with a complaint to the courts and a judgment being made in a court of law. THAT alone should give ANYONE, especially yourself, pause for grave concern of the consequences and ramifications of such an action. There's also ramifications if such attempts are made with fraudulent intent or claims.

BTW, I already know from personal experience that ISP's and web hosts are unwilling to get involved without a court order. Another "been there, done that" experience.
