EARTHQUAKE WARNING Posted by EQF on December 1, 2012

My November 27, 2012 Earthquake Advisory has now become an Earthquake Warning.

Two additional strong EM Signal were detected at the following times:

2012/12/01 10:42:00 UTC
2012/12/01 09:25:00 UTC

When two signals are detected within a few hours of one another like that then past experiences indicate to me that there is better than a 50% chance that a significant earthquake will occur within the next 5 days.

My forecasting computer program is undergoing an update that is nearly completed. And when it is done in a day or two I will be able to process these new data and hopefully generate some location information.

Remember, as the following explains, with these signals the depth of the earthquake appears to be more important than the magnitude.

A 5.5 near the surface might generate stronger signals than a 7.5 deep in the crust.

And, a 5.5 near the surface can also often do a lot more damage than a 7.5 deep in the crust.

So, signal strength can be important to how much damage the earthquake can cause.

These are personal opinions.
