The other choice is for you (Brian) to run a site like Earthwaves where you can limit who posts following some other rules. I'm less bothered by EQF than you or Vidale, but I am bothered that he/she drives away people who do good science posts. Now, I just don't go to other sites, including yours. But I could be persuaded to move to a site that had science post by a few trained scientists, good amateurs, and the occassional psychic or person with some prediction scheme.

I suppose I could run such a site but it just ain't going to happen.

You (Brian) or whoever might run such a site would have to be a little tolerant, though.
