Info I read said oblique thrust...combo of the Queen Charlotte strike slip and the Pacific/NA thrust system? In the last 40 years, at least five quakes of 6 or greater have happened in this region. Unsure about what this portends---but the Earth just keeps on a'movin' Who knows?
