All The Inaccuracies – October 26, 2012

Wow! Has this bulletin board turned into a forum for the Presidential Campaign? Just look at all of that “you did this, you did that information in that other post.”

That other post is in my opinion a fairly good indicator of how incredibly inaccurate that particular individual can be with his remarks about postings here. And inaccuracies like that appear so often, in my opinion, that people should question the accuracy of even that individual’s science information.

In the first place there is no statement in my report saying that I am working as an advisor for either of the Presidential Candidates. I have been saying that my reports are going to U.S. Policy Makers. But, policy makers could be anyone. And in fact, many of the people that I contact don’t even work for the government. They could be other, outside scientists who people working for the government contact for advice. And if those U.S. Policy Makers then want to forward the information that I send them along to people who do work for the government then that is their choice.

In the second place, it very clearly states in my third line of the above post that the posting was “satire.” To quote that line,

And, this information is from confidential sources. So, people reading this post shouldn’t tell anyone else about it until it is announced in the news (and for those who speak English as a second or third language, this is satire).

That precautionary note about the satire was deliberately included there for people reading the note who might speak English as a second or third language. They might not automatically recognize what the story was about. But if they looked up the word “satire” in a dictionary or encyclopedia they would see that it generally refers to a fictional story that is intended to poke fun at something.

One would think that people who speak English as a first language would probably have known that it was satire. However, that was apparently not the case for at least one individual. And I really have to wonder about that person when he apparently says that he didn’t recognize something so obvious.

In any case, I am not planning to comment on that post any further for the moment. There is an election coming and there is still a lot of important work to be done.

I do sincerely hope that that person stops posting notes here as it appears that he promised. However we have heard people say that in notes posted here in the past. And those people seem to keep returning again and again to post more notes.
