M5.3 on or near San Andreas

A strike-slip M5.3 occured (link) on or near the San Andreas fault, It is rather far north of Parkfield so should be on creeping section. If on creeping section, that may be an unusually large quake: I recall M4 1/2s over the decades. Maybe someone who knows the area better can chime in.
