For quite a while I have been preparing some information to send to the USGS to request that they create an additional, simple format search page that would provide us with information regarding current and past earthquakes.

My computer programs use their data. And their input routines have to be changed each time the USGS people change their data format. The proposed new format might also include data for fatalities, injuries, and building damage if there were any.
