Good morning,
Brian (or anyone), a student took lots of pictures of the normal fault scarp, I can email one or 2 to Brian to post, or someone can remind me how to do an image URL...or I suppose I could try and figure it out.

Hanging out with the French; will be working on correlating stratigraphy to their 3D seismic reflection volume around the "Western High" of Marmara Sea, including across the main active strand of the North Anatolian fault (almost 20 mm/yr right lateral). The Western High is a small fold-thrust structure.

Yesterday, hung out with/had dinner with the Greek seismologists that I met 10 years ago in Thessoloniki. Greek and Turkish scientists work together, but politically they don't do so well; they have had a certain amount of wars in the last 100 years and appararently the Turkish army burned the main part of Izmir in 1922 and drove out the Greeks and other non-Turks.
