We've gotta keep trying. Unfortunately there is a sizeable percentage of humanity who WANT to believe things that simply aren't true. It fits well in their Universe...a Universe based upon a 1950's image that never actually existed. Some of it is based upon fear--fear of change, fear of losing their own sense of importance. Life is very very hard, death is certain...

But for most of human history, there were always people who kept the lights of learning and compassion alive. We have to try to be one of them!
