USGS info

The link is interesting. Lucy says that the quakes are not on the San Andreas and that the San Andreas enters Mexico just west of Yuma. OK, I'll Google Yuma map: Um, OK, you can call a fault there the San Andreas but I would not rule out that a more or less continuous fault splits off and runs south through Brawley. Its about a decade since we submitted a proposal 4 times usuccessfully to work in Salton Sea. Because of my laptop Crash, I don't have GOCAD running and so can't so easily look at the 300,000+ earhquakes in the Community Fault Model. I got a new license yesterday but it would be a couple of hours for me to get things working, and I'm working on the Palos Verdes manuscript today.

I have SCEC-VDO running...I hate it, but it can view the fault model, so I'll take a very quick look.
