Dell support says motherboard is dead and they don't make them anymore and they suggested EBay. I personally think the laptop is tired and will start up no problem tomorrow. But I also believe in computer magic.

I have specialized software whose license(s) is (are) tied to the specific computer.

For the proposal I need WORD and Illustrator, but the installation disks are in the Heartland and I am on the New England Island.

I'm screwed, as is HW who needs me to do this work in order to get the proposal done.

I knew I needed to do a clone backup but did not get around to it.

I suppose I can write text using notepad if I buy a cheap laptop.
