EARTHQUAKE WARNING – Posted by EQF on July 4, 2012

SUMMARY – Earthquake researchers around the world are advised to check their local earthquake precursor data records for the times listed in this Earthquake Warning to see if they can identify anything unusual looking in their data from around those times. If so then that might be an indicator that some strong expected earthquake activity could be headed in their direction.

Strong EM Signals were detected at the following times and at a number of other recent times:

2012/07/04 09:36:00 UTC
2012/07/04 10:34:00 UTC

EARTHQUAKE TIME WINDOW

Perhaps 75% of the time when two strong signals are detected within a few hours of one another as in that case, there can be some especially strong and at times significant earthquake activity within the next 5 days. So, that would be a July 4 to July 9 or 10, 2012 Time Window.

In the 25% of cases where the expected seismic activity does not occur within that 5 day Time Window then it might occur at multiples of 7 days after the day on which the signals were detected. 2 week, 1 month, 2 months, and 3 month delays can be observed with those 25% of the cases.

EARTHQUAKE LOCATION

My earthquake forecasting computer programs are being run only occasionally these days because I need to spend about a week of time upgrading some of the mechanical, electronic, and computer program routines. There is a particular step in the forecasting process that takes too long to complete. And I am trying to use some technology developments to get around that.

Additionally, this is an election year here in the U.S. And I am trying to get some other important projects done and brought to the attention of our political candidates before October of 2012 after which there will probably be the usual political chaos that will last until election day.

So, it might take me a day or two to get my computer programs updated and running so that I can generate some probable location data for this expected seismic activity.

EARTHQUAKE MAGNITUDE

Signals that strong could be generated by an approaching 5.5 magnitude earthquake here in the U.S.

At a fair distance from the U.S. the approaching earthquakes might need to be at least in the 7.0 and higher magnitude range.

The strength of these EM Signals appears to be dependent on a variety of factors including the magnitude of the earthquake, the distance from the detection location to the fault zone, and the strength of recent solar storm activity. And there does not appear to have been much strong solar storm activity in the past day or two. So, that might indicate that the earthquake magnitude would need to be higher for it to generate signals that strong.

On Another Note -

I hope that everyone will have a safe and enjoyable 4th of July holiday.

These are personal opinions.
