This is the fastest moving thunderstorm I have ever heard of: near Jefferson City MO and headed at us in Columbia at 85 mph. 70 mph is unusually fast for the forward speed of a Tstorm: I've never heard of one faster than 80 mph.

It does not look like the hail core is likely to miss us.

as I typed the weather radio alarm went off: tornado watch for this county. It will be here in about 15 mins.

After Joplin last year maybe we take this seriously: large hail, roof and tree damage expected. I'm going to put some shoes on and maybe grab a helmet in case we have to go to our safest room.
