Hi All, My understanding of "earthquake weather" has centered around the fact that the warm weather in the winter months is normally caused by a change in the barometric pressure. This preasure can be substantial at times and deform the ground enough to 'possibly' trigger a quake. The problem being how do you know if a given quake was ready to 'be triggered.' I know there have been some studies on this idea but do not have any links to them. Several of our bigger quakes in SoCal have been during a period of this "earthquake weather." I also agree that the last electrical storm was not our normal kind. I have not seen that much action and ground strikes for many years. I also have not seen such hot to cold weather in some time.
