See the link. If you watch the news you will know it has been exceptionally warm in 48 states of USA except West Coast. But you may not all be fully aware of how exceptional it is. We have not had our heat on for a month. Many nights we have the windows open. The link says that for Cities including St Louis, March will have been warmer than all but 10 or 11 Aprils on record.

This contrasts with last winter which in many places was cold and snowy. Although near record snow in our city last winter (2010-2011), the year's temperature was very close to normal. There was probably no record cold here.

The warmth is even more exceptional farther north, in the upper midwest.
