Roger,

It looks to me like your TrueBasic programs that involve the use of graphics will probably not run properly on any computer except the XP system that you yourself are using. The map was the wrong size on my own XP system. I had to run it with the Windows 98 compatibility feature to get it to run at all on my Vista system. And it did not work correctly.

The EPmap programs are designed to enable people using any computer programs that they like on Windows systems and standard PCs to generate data that can be plotted with the Gnuplot program. And Gnuplot can even import picture files and use them for a background though I don't remember exactly how to do that. It would have to be discussed with the Gnuplot Newsgroup people.

So, if you want other people to be able to run your program you should probably either add it to the TrueBasic EPmap program as a subroutine or organize it as a standalone program that the EPmap Perl controller program can call. If you would like some help with the Gnuplot program for changing background colors for maps I can probably assist with that.

These are personal opinions.
