Siberia And Taiwan Earthquakes – February 26, 2012

The following powerful earthquakes just occurred.

2012/02/26 06:17:20 51.731 95.921 11.7 6.7 Siberia, Russia
2012/02/26 02:35:00 22.701 120.853 22.4 5.9 Taiwan

From news reports that I have seen it does not sound like either earthquake did much damage or produced any fatalities. That could change as information arrives from remote areas.

The following information is being included here for other earthquake research personnel:

Two Strong EM Signals were detected at the following times:

24/02/2012 20:45:00 UTC
24/02/2012 19:13:00 UTC

Information regarding those EM Signals was circulated to other forecasting personnel several days ago to get some additional input. And plans have been to circulate a formal Earthquake Advisory. However, work that I am busy with concerning two other earthquake related project including the one being presently discuss in postings to this board is causing major delays for the actual earthquake forecasting part of this general earthquake related effort.

I was also aware that there had been some strong recent solar storm activity. And that can boost the strength of the EM Signals making the approaching earthquakes look worse than they will actually be.

The Time Window for those two earthquakes is correct. They usually occur within 4 or 5 days of the time when multiple EM Signals are detected like that.

And, the longitude differences between them are in stunningly good agreement with the difference in time between those two EM Signals.

120.85 – 95.9 = 24.95 longitude degrees

92 minutes difference between the signals at 15 longitude degrees sun movement per hour = 23 degrees

However, I have not yet had time to run the signal and earthquake times through my computer programs. So, I don’t yet know if the programs will show a data match between the signals and earthquakes.

If those computer data are good matches then that will provide me with some invaluable information regarding how these signals are being generated. I have never really understood how multiple signals like that can be generated within a few hours of one another. Those data might explain that. They could be indicating that at times, fault zone activities in separate earthquake fault zones are involved.

These are personal opinions.
