That's not true;

I've evaluated Shan several times with negative results.

And I've asked him several times for details of his method, again with negative results.

I suspect the jumps he sees are due to the size and shape of the holes in his wall that the sunlight passes thru, coupled with the fact that any such light has a fuzzy edge which can cause perception problems. But without more detailed information on the holes, I can't be sure.
