More Wasted Electrons – November 20, 2011

Chris,

You are in my opinion just wasting more electrons with these types of posts. Some of your posts in my opinion represent “politicized science” rather than true science. You have your own political agenda and are slanting your response posts to mine in the direction of that agenda.

It isn’t worth the electrons that it would take to argue with you.

If you have a PhD in geology then you should certainly be able to understand all of the information at any of my Web sites. So, why not read through that material before telling people that my charts etc. are stating this or that? Ask any reasonable questions that you wish.

One of your posts said it all.

You stated that you are afraid of doing any forecasting work in general or specific types of work involving Ear Tones because your standing in the scientific community could be damaged.

If that type of thing is a problem for you, in my opinion it shows that you don’t know too much about how the Internet works.

One of the main reasons that I myself don’t use my actual name in these posts or Newsgroup postings is because I don’t want my earthquake research affecting other science projects that I am working on. And there are several dozen of them covering a range of science applications from going from the development of new sources of energy to the development of advanced medical treatments to the development of ways to keep sharks from biting surfers.

One project that I am gradually developing even involves a major revolution for the international beverage industry. If successful it should reduce the amount of health damage associated with people around the world consuming large amounts of sugar and also reduce the number of empty pop bottles and cans etc. that are damaging the environment.

The general public should like it as it would provide them with a healthier form of soda pop, a greater variety of flavors, and easier shopping. For example, they will be able to conveniently order their favorite type of beverage over the Internet.

Beverage manufacturers should like it because it will allow them to make more money and also reduce the (very small) amount of guilt they might presently be feeling related to their responsibility for the fact that there are so many dangerously overweight people around the world.

So, what I am saying is that there are ways to work on project on the Internet such as earthquake forecasting without people learning who you are. And I myself don’t even go to any great lengths to hide my identity. A number of years ago I was in a TV documentary related to earthquake forecasting that was shown around the world (but not in the U.S.) And the people who filmed the documentary used my name and pictures of me. I have also allowed my name to be formally circulated to news services around the world in connection with earthquake forecasting efforts.

So, those types of things would tend not to foster anonymity. The level of anonymity that I do maintain is partly intended as a layer of protection from all of the crazy people out there on the Internet. And there are plenty of them.

Again, if you wanted to work on earthquake forecasting and Ear Tone research without that having any impact on your standing in the scientific community then that could be easily done.

These are personal opinions.
