That's a good piece of history that to me shows the correlation between the two events. But one other puzzled me for the longest time. For at least two years I and a number of others found that when Andreanof Island in AK had a quake, in the 4.5 range and up, Eureka or Redding or sometimes both were hit with quakes in the mid four's to low 5 ranges. I'd say it happened about 60% of the time. Yet today, things have changed and now it is a rarity.

I have tried to contemplate why it happened then and not now and I can't really think of anything of a major nature has an explanation. Its no easier to understand why it doesn't happen now than when it happened frequently.

When examing these events it makes one know that in the future one could find a method that seems ideal and brings forth very positive results in the beginning and then for some unknown reason changes and doesn't happen anymore.
