I just wanted to say I felt though my window had passed, I did not wish to make an addendum to it as to do so, to me said I was wrong in the first place as I didn't have all of the correct parameters.

However, I did do one thing. This past Thursday I told a fellow employee at work, who has a lot of family not very far from Olympia to expect a quake in at least the 5 range with a month and for her to pass it along to them. Today she said, I see you were right.

That's what I wanted in the first place, to reach the people I know in that area and as a friend tell them, put away grandma's fine china, or memorabilia.

The catalogs for Satsop which Don and I reviewed yesterday showed that this area has had a couple of 5's before, but mostly 2's and 3's. I never looked until after the event. I had no reason to.

When I assess something I feel is going to happen, it comes in three ways. First I hear it, then I sense there's no avoiding it and in this case, I kept watching the series of small quakes in the area and knew it was unsettled. Pure logic told me it was bound to happen. Anyone could say the same thing while just looking at the charts.

Will this kind of thing happen again in the same general area, logically it certainly should. But as to which side of Puget Sound gets the quake at this time is difficult to determine. With a little more watching, in time, it can be as plain as the nose on anyone's face. However, most likely hind sight will show us more likely than foresight.
