Re: err: 4 within 36 hours: Roger?

Well, there were 2 more, the latest in last couple hours a M7.0 in Vanuatu, so 3 in less than 24 hours and 4 in 36 hours, scattered around the globe. Yes, you are probably right, just coincidence. And, Roger took a look at this a couple of years ago when I brought it up before, and found nothing. I've been tempted to have him take a look at it again, in different ways. For example, unless I am remembering wrong the Japan 9 was preceded by M6+ quakes in 6 or 7 widely-separated areas within about 4 days before. Hey, this kind of thing is a hobby for me, even though I work on active faults now (among other things). Could have Roger look at other M9s (small list) or maybe 8+ (larger list) and see how many M6+ quakes there were in the week ahead separated by >1000 km.

Roger, do you still enjoy doing this sort of thing?

I saw your (John V) EOS highlight; I'll post it later unless you already did or do it now. I forget if this was an old or recent EOS.

Chris
