You seem to be implying that the news reporting of the WSJ is biased. However, regarding the quote from the WSJ that I posted, you must realize that it was in the OPINION section of the newspaper, in a small daily section entitled Notable and Quotable. Newspapers are allowed to be biased in the Op-Ed section

Also, the WSJ piece was quoting was from another newspaper, The Politico, which is a political journalism organization which sponsored both the Republican Presidential candidates debate and the Democratic Presidential candidates debate in 2008 - hardly a biased organization.

I would argue that the pendulum just barely swung right after Clinton. First of all, Bush failed to find his veto pen until well into his second term. I think Generous George should never have signed the Prescription Drug Plan Act, just one more unfunded, but federally mandated entitlement that adds to our national debt. In addition, after the 2006 elections he was saddled with a Democratically-controlled Congress headed by Reid and Pelosi - harldy a swing to the right!
