Re: accounting- in defense of defense.. |
Here's my 2 cents on Bush spending $$ on the military - 10 years ago our country was attacked by Islamic terrorists - approx 3000 people lost their lives - we were under the impression Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction - he wasn't allowing our people to inspect and he made it look like he had the weapons (he may have and they could be in Syria now - who knows) So should we have just let the Islamic terrorists continue to strike at us, should Bush have turned the other cheek? Would you prefer to have worried about Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco be targets and that we didn't spend money on our military? Or should we have spent the money to insure our domestic tranquility? Personally, I'd rather have the war over there, rather than over here.. I think we were more than justified to go after the terrorists.. unfortunately, I don't think we can change them - it's taken generations to school them that we are infidels, we can't take a generation or two to educate and re-train them. They are violent crazy people and I believe that behavior is largely genetic with a little environment thrown in.. And yes, Cina is the next Superpower.. and very soon now.
