It would not be especially productive for me to go into too much detail about this nuclear business at the present time.

Instead, some time this week I am planning to try to post a note about one of my other important projects that isn't focused exclusively on earthquakes. Some work is being done with that effort right now.

That project involves trying to bring about a revolution in the way that science research and disaster mitigation work around the world are done.

Those nuclear power plant problems are largely unsolvable in Japan because the people in charge, namely government officials, don't know enough about science or care that they don't know anything to actually get something accomplished. And nuclear energy is not the only area of science and technology that is stuck in a rut like that.

France might be doing some of the most advanced nuclear energy development work. However, even they should be doing a better job.
