Petra's Old Fashiones EQ Advisory 05/22/01
Posted by Don in Hollister on June 10, 2001 at 09:12:09:

Hi All. Petra's ear tone is working just great. The problem that has plagued her from the very start has been timing. We just don't seem to be able to get a handle on it. No matter what we have tried we just can't seem to get a time period. The tones have a match. Take Care…Don in creepy town

On 05/22/01 Petra made the following forecast.

Old Fashioned EQ Advisory/NW
Posted by Petra Challus on May 22, 2001 at 19:02:29:
Hi All,
Sometimes data comes in the human form and when it does, well it just won't fit into a nice tidy prediction box, so I'm going to do this the old fashioned way, yet modern.
When a storm is coming, they say they will issue advisories, watches and warnings. So this fits within the advisory category.
This morning at 10AM when I was at work and while someone was talking to me I heard a very loud, long left ear tone. It had the pitch that fits in with granite rock structures. Due to the length that tells me it is a ways north of me and the sound says its a quake in the 4.5 to 6.5 + magnitude. It also had no watery sound, so I do know its not likely offshore.
Therefore, the following advisory is given to those who wish to accept it. If I were you I would not leave any fragile glass items on bookshelves where they might fall over. If it has a value enough that you'd miss it, for a few days, stick it in a closet or drawer or wherever it might be safe.
Possible Locations:
A. Vancouver Island, Canada
B. NW Territories, Canada
C. Olympia, WA
D. Ferndale, CA
E. Nome, AK
I listed them in the order of which I think is most likely to least likely.
Window: 5/22/01 6:55PM PDT to 6/2/01 Midnight PDT.
If anyone else of the sensitive nature is reading this post, I'd love to know if you are picking any signals up. Two ears are better than one.
For the rest of you who rely on hard cold data, keep an eye on your creep meters, water changes, such as streams stopping suddenly or the opposite, and hope its an eq that belongs to someone else.
I rarely get an EQ of my own and the last good one I slept through. Those nighttime earthquakes are the worst. If they are bad its really bad at night, if they are not bad you're asleep and miss the whole thing. Ah well, can't have everything.
