To those who don't know their geography, Turkey is a large country with many active faults, including subduction in the SW, extension and strike-slip in the Aegean, strike-slip on the North Anatolian and East Anatolian faults, etc etc. And, the USGS EQ site may not even report quakes for Turkey less than M4.5.
