If I recall correctly, the greatest amount of stress from the Northridge Quake moved in the direction (I'm probably not saying this correctly) of where the Garlock meets the San Andreas. That, if I'm correct would have increased the pressure on the Garlock (I'm remembering this from right after the Northridge quake and this a bit hazy) or am I nuts? Don't feel weird BTW, Penny, because the entire week before the Hector Mines EQ I had experiences like what you're describing and fortunately, have witnesses (houseguests), because the evening before, I said that either was losing my mind or we were going to have a big quake that night and sure enough, a few hours later the woke me up as we were rockin' and rollin'. Ah, the good old days in California! Colorado just doesn't move like that!
