I'm well aware that there is a natural tendency to lump distant places together, but I cannot see a particular reason to associate an event in western France with southern Britain. It's not as if the two formed a tectonic unit, and you might just as well compare statistics for W France/ N Spain. We in Britain would not consider this as a "South Britain" earthquake (occurring as it did 400 km from the nearest point on the English coast).

Unless, of course, you are making a special effort to link this event with Don's very different prediction. I calculate the distance from Don's predicted location as over 600 km.
