With regards to this info...:

Well ...maybe so...but in reference to the ELF project a small company loaned them a $1000 sensor (with a proprietary antenna) which many high-schoolers have no problem keeping on line (well mostly...).

This kind of begs the question of how is it that "professionals" have so much trouble keeping something like that on line.

It kind of opens up other questions about the Parkfield folks' motive in getting involved in the program in the first place (if they weren't going to diligently keep their data online...).

They appear to have either renegged on the project or perhaps (to a skeptic anyway) opened up the prospect of hidden agendas, ulterior motives, etc.
