Whether or not earthquakes can be predicted is not likely to be settled in bulletin board discussions. About all that is possible in them is for people to express opinions.

I am actively in the process of attempting to convince governments that they should take a strong interest in developing earthquake forecasting programs. And I should have a better idea some time around the end of May, 2011 if there is likely to be any progress in that direction by some of our governments.
