Hi Canie, kind of a moot point if I don't get the proposal written. Part of my problems lately is that I am not efficient and do not like to say "no" if someone wants to work with me. I donated 3 months time to work on Haiti, which is largely wasted unless I write a paper, which can be months more time. Now I have 2 Turkish students visiting for a month and I am working closely with them so will have trouble getting much done.

As for a professor like HW; she is paid less than someone that I train starting at an oil company. But, that was our choice: she (and I) worked at oil companies and we quit for each other. What bothers me is a heartland aversion to education and making more than at Walmart. Maybe not an majority of people, but it is there.
