In your next reincarnation you should not ask to return as a disaster mitigation specialist.

You likely have better than average training and experience regarding evaluating data. But you are in my opinion also using a mental filter that allows through only what you want to see and hear. That might be a partially subconscious process.

Professional analysts cannot afford to do that. And disaster mitigation personnel certainly cannot afford to do that.

I also know from long experience that it is a waste of time to try to argue with you. Those brain cells are locked into a fixed mode and will never change. However, that is not a major problem for this bulletin board. And you are still able to do helpful work such as with that recent earthquake lists project.
