MEA CULPA!!!! I was looking at the SCEC page, and apparently the formatting has got corrupted. It's not in nice neat columns. I looked straight down from the heading "Depth" and read those numbers when in fact they were distance to landmarks. They do indeed appear to be on unknown fault(s) although given the terrain I'm surprised they are unknown. After all, looking at my image you can see how the known faults wind and weave amongst terrain just like that 'blank' mountain. You know, if I lived in the area I'd probably grab some camping gear and go stay a few days there for the experience. That shallow you'd feel just about every one of them. Who knows? You might be first witness to a cinder cone! (this reminds me of the movie 2012 and the doomsayer on the radio reporting live from Yellowstone blowing up) Brian
