Japan, Puerto Rico

Hi Brian, while I'll look at any animation you do, doing a 3D fly around of Puerto Rico-Virgin Islands is not what I meant. It's more on whether other trenches show bursts of swarms of small (less than M4) quakes, and whether that pattern changes before big quakes, and whether the locations have anything to do with the hypocenters of great quakes to come. But, you would have to use a catalogue that has quakes down to 2.5, and have to use areas where there have been recent great quakes, like Japan, and Chile. I'd guess that small quakes would be more likely to have been recorded in Japan than in Chile, but don't know this. It seems unlikely that small quakes would have been recorded in Sumatra before Dec 26 2004. Maybe someone has already done this and maybe John V would know.

Maybe this sort of thing would not be fun for you, so do what you like of course.
Chris
