Waste of time. Just grab the entire NEIC database and use it. You'd be grabbing it anyway to do your comparison, right? And if all you are doing is removing the erroneous entries from your set, you then need to replace them with correct data. If you simply grab the big database and use it directly, you've accomplished both tasks, directly.
