The original paper on which that report was based looks like a real paper that was published in 2010. However, it also largely concluded that the observed reduction in cancer growth is associated with the presence of alpha-particles. Other possible explanations for the growth reduction are not even mentioned in the publication.

I sent an E-mail note to one of the original publication’s authors stating pretty much what I proposed in my previous EarthWaves note and recommended that he might consider contacting some cancer researchers regarding this subject matter.
