Following are the earthquakes of Mw>=7 within 200 km of today's
epicenter. Format is in header. This was the largest intermediate
depth earthquake in the region ever recorded, so it is hard to
tell how far-field events may differ. The depth is in the 9th
column (in km).
Of the events included, only those of Jan 1983, Mar 1951, and
Dec 1950 are deep events. Events in California followed in both
March 1951 and in Dec. 1950.
