Barbara, gee, the private companies Westinghouse-G.E, did a nice job designing those Japanese plants and the private company Tokyo Energy whatever did a fine job running them.

I had to make that crack; I don't know whether the U.S. government or Japanese goverment would have done as well, but a private compant may be a little too interested in profit for an industry that may be in the middle of making a good chunk of the main Island of Japan (Honshu) uninhabitable for decades or longer if things don't get better quickly (meaning that they have to reverse the path that they are on).
